Our school has a kokyu-nage nicknamed the "Twenty Year Technique". It is so called because Sensei Suenaka says that if you practice it diligently, it will take about twenty years to learn.
That kind of patience in a learning in itself. I have to accept the imperfections. I cannot rush along. It is impossible to force the knowledge or abilities. All I can do is to attend class regularly and practice.
Progress comes to those who train and train; reliance on secret techniques will get you nowhere.
